The Beginning of VIVE in Thailand – A Look Back at 2018

​In 2018, my Tour Company, VIVE Society Travel , brought a group of 24 travelers to Thailand. We had lead large International Tours before but our business was still very new and this was our first offered tour to South East Asia.  Looking back now, it feels both like yesterday and a lifetime ago. This trip was where my vision for VIVE truly came alive.

In my personal travels over the years,  I had already traveled a good amount of the world, But something about this country instantly captured my heart. The food was on another level, the beaches breathtaking, and the accessibility made exploring easy. Most importantly, the kindness of the Thai people reminded me that there is still so much good in the world. Ask anyone who has been to the Land of Smiles before - Being here has you saying  "Now, THIS is the way life should be." After coming to Thailand twice on my own, I decided we had to share this special place with others.

But the dream didn’t happen overnight. I worked for nearly two years to create this journey—building local relationships, designing an itinerary that felt soulful rather than touristy, and weaving in yoga, cultural experiences, and time for self-care. During that time, whenever life got tough... Instead of letting daily stresses take over my mind, I poured all my energy into planning this trip. That process became therapeutic for me. It was also  when I experienced the power of manifestation firsthand in a huge way.

As a solo traveler in my teenage years, I had always dreamed of hosting my own group tours one day. Still, I wondered—would anyone see my vision? Would people really fly to the other side of the planet with us? The answer came when 24 incredible travelers said “yes” to Thailand. They came from different walks of life, but during that trip, they became family. Many are still close friends to this day.

What I discovered in Thailand is the power of manifestation in action. I had lived this trip in my mind countless times before it ever happened. Visualization, journaling, and embodying the life I wanted to create turned this dream into reality. Every detail unfolded exactly as I had imagined—and often even better.

Since then, I’ve returned to Thailand more than a dozen times, each visit proof of how one vision can grow into something far greater than you first imagined. Whenever a new project feels “too big” or out of reach, I look back on that first trip and remember: anything is possible when you align with your vision and pour your heart into it.

✨ Thailand was where VIVE was truly born. And it will always hold the most special place in my heart.  ( This is why we host tours on a regular basis every year now. )
